Discovering a new method to efficiently dig out oyster and concrete blocks

  • Using two shovels, dig 45 degrees into the mud from opposite directions towards the submerged concrete block. Add vertical forces down the handle of the shovels simultaneously to add pressure on the concrete block through the tips of the shovels.
  • The concrete block would be lifted up by the upward forces from the shovels.
  • The whole process of digging out one concrete blocks effectively shortened from 1 minute to less than 10 seconds.
