概述

《文化按摩師:Talking Heads》 第八場「藝術 X 氣候變化」由擅長開發藝術、科學和建築概念的創意總監田崎佑樹及微波國際新媒體藝術節項目總監及SIBYLS創辦人鄺佳玲共同主持線上黑客松。

黑客松旨在引導參與者認識適應性建築和環境設計,反思和應對香港迫在眉睫的氣候危機,例如海平面上升和風暴潮。

緊接線上黑客松,田崎佑樹將分享藝術如何啟發可持續發展設計,以應對各種氣候危機。此外,他將與不同界別的專業人士就氣候變化與藝術的關係進行對談。

【線上黑客松】-《氣候危機:尋找新出路》 2021年2月27日(星期六) 10:00-13:00 田崎佑樹和鄺佳玲將帶領一群文化愛好者,在這節線上黑客松中深入調查海平面上升和風暴潮等問題,探索香港的氣候危機特徵,鼓勵參加者集思廣益,想像適應性建築、產品設計、技術甚至生活方式,如何應對當前的氣候危機,從而提出其他應對氣候變化的方法,為環境尋找可持續的新出路。

節目將以英文進行,線上黑客松以Zoom進行。費用全免,名額有限,先到先得。

田崎佑樹將會先分享他的研究,回應藝術如何啟發新的可持續設計,以應對各種氣候危機。他將與來自不同界別的專業人士展開對話,闡述氣候變化與藝術的關係。

田崎佑樹 田崎佑樹擅長發展概念和創作指導,多年來策劃和製作過多個藝術、科學及建築項目。其設計作品包括新世代文化中心「函館未來館」、首爾的裝置藝術「UNITY of MOTION」,以及與藝術家名和晃平合作的藝術展亭「洸庭」。 田崎佑樹具備策略視野及商業頭腦,加上其藝術才華,讓他創作出無數影響深遠的創新裝置、當代藝術,科學和建築項目。田崎佑樹高瞻遠矚,獨具慧眼,成功策劃和孕育過各式設計項目,贏盡口碑之餘,亦取得商業上的成功。

天之豐 天之豐是一家香港的跨學科建築工作室,他們為公共空間設計景觀、基礎設施和建築項目。他們活躍在文化機構、博物館和畫廊的展覽設計和動態藝術裝置領域。 由倫敦大學學院巴特萊特建築學院校友李國欣和矢野 豊 創立,他們二人以合作的方式進行設計實踐、研究和學術。工作室的項目應用了歷史、文化、技術和物質性。 原田 実 日法混血兒原田 実是一名活躍於工程、發明及社會企業界的設計師。熱愛大自然的他,致力於機械研發,曾於2010年獲麻省理工學院邀請擔任研究員及項目主管,研發清理墨西哥灣原油洩漏事件油污的機械人。此事啟發他於離開MIT後,發明了用於收集海洋數據、可以變形的無人駕駛航海機械人Protei,此機械人曾用作測量日本福島核電廠附近海域的塑膠污染及海洋輻射量。

主持介紹

鄺佳玲 鄺佳玲為國際媒體藝術策展人、製作人、作者、教育家以及超媒體專才。她現任微波國際新媒體藝術節的項目總監,並於2018年成立創意顧問公司SIBLYS。近年創作橫跨多媒體平台,最新項目包括2019年的《晝鳴曲》、2020年微波藝術節的《後實錄》與聯同五位台港創作人的超媒體計劃《生死牆》。多年來擔任多個國際藝術節及設計比賽的專業評審,並致力於不同學院及藝術節巡迴講學,包括韓國的ACT、深圳新媒體藝術節、台灣國立大學、日本東京的電氣傳訊大學、香港的FILMART和娛樂博覽會等。

OVERVIEW

The 8th programme of Culture Masseur: Talking Heads is “Art X Climate Change” where Yuki Tazaki, expert in concept development, creative direction production in art & science and architecture projects would co-lead the Online Hackathon with Joel Kwong, Programme Director of Microwave International New Media Arts Festival and the Founder of SIBYLS.

The Hackathon aims to lead participants to reflect and respond to some of the most significant climate crises in Hong Kong, such as sea level rises and storm tides, through adaptive architecture and environment design.

The programme would be followed by the Online Artist Presentation and Chill-chat Aalon, where Yuki Tazaki would be sharing his research in how work of art could inspire new sustainable design in tackling various climate crises. Furthermore, he would initiate a conversation with speakers from cross-disciplinary backgrounds, to elaborate on the relations of climate change and art.

【Online Experiential Hackathon -《Envisioning the Alternative Climate Crisis》】 27 Feb 2021 (Sat) 10:00-13:00

In this intensive Online Hackathon, Yuki Yazaki and Joel Kwong will lead a group of cultural enthusiasts to explore the climate crisis features in Hong Kong through several focused investigations on issues like sea level rises and storm tides.

Participants are also encouraged to brainstorm and envision how adaptive architecture, product design, technology or even lifestyle could cope with the current era of climate crisis; thus to propose alternative ways to tackle climate change and weave innovative possibilities in environmental sustainability.

Yuki Tazaki will first share his research in addressing how work of art could inspire new sustainable design in tackling climate change and global warming, followed by a conversation with SKY Lee and Yutaka Yano, Founders of SKY YUTAKA, and Cesar Jung Harada, the Director of MakerBay, with Joel Kwong, the Programme Director of Microwave International New Media Arts Festival and the Founder of SIBYLS, as the moderator.

SPEAKER ARTIST BIO

Yuki Tazaki Yuki Tazaki is an expert in concept development, creative direction, production in art & science and architecture projects. His significant works include Hakodate Miraikan, a new generation cultural centre, “UNITY of MOTION”, an art installation in Seoul, and “KOHTEI”, an art pavilion project in collaboration with artist Kohei Nawa. He uses his leverage strategic vision, business acumen, and artistic talent to deliver high-impact innovative installation, contemporary art projects, scientific collaboration and architecture projects. Directing and implementing a broad range of revenue-generating design projects, from conception to launch, has brought him a silent success.

RESPONDENT BIO

SKY YUTAKA SKY YUTAKA is a multidisciplinary architectural studio based in Hong Kong, who design landscape, infrastructure and architectural projects for public space. They are active in the field of exhibition design and kinetic art installations for cultural institutions, museums and galleries. Founded by SKY Lee and Yutaka Yano, alumni of The Bartlett, University College London, the duo take a collaborative approach to design practice, research and academia. History, culture, technology, and materiality, are channelled into the crafts and skills that the studio apply in the projects and design creation. Cesar JUNG-Harada Cesar Jung-Harada (FR-JP) Designer. Director of MakerBay, Scoutbots, and Senior Lecturer in Design and Architecture at the University of Hong Kong. TED Senior Fellow, former Researcher at MIT. He holds a MA in Design Interactions from the Royal College of Art, and sailed around the world in 2014.

MODERATOR BIO

Joel Kwong Joel Kwong, an international media art curator, writer, producer, educator and transmedia specialist based in Hong Kong. She is currently the Programme Director for Microwave International New Media Arts Festival and the founder of creative consultation agency SIBYLS. Her most recently projects include “Sunata”, an immersive media art journey featuring Keith Lam & Dimension Plus in 2019, and “Sharp Chronicles” , the Microwave edition 2020 and a Transmedia project with five Hong Kong & Taiwan creative talents in the theme of “About Life & Death”. She has been giving talks and lectures in different festivals and institutions, includes Shenzhen Media Art Festival, ACT Festival in Gwangju, National University of Taiwan, the University of Eletro-communications in Tokyo, FILMART, Entertainment EXPO in Hong Kong, etc.
