Radioactivity is a word that tends to make people scared. Only if they knew that radioactivity is all around us, all the time. There is in fact, a big need for education around radioactivity, so everyone understands what radioactivity is, where it comes from, what it can do for humans, the good, the bad, the history, the state of the art and the future!
And luckily, we have been invited to do just that by the Macau Association for the promotion of science and technology, at the University of Macau.

It was a really fun day! The students got to learn about physics, environmental monitoring, citizen science, open-source electronics, data science, GIS (Geographic Information System) and collect important data for their local community while contributing to the global map of radioactivity that everyone can see. Well done!
