Cleaning, cooking, drinking. We as consumers often neglect the most significant material in our lives: water. Not out of malice, but out of unawareness of the large inequality in the access to clean water. However, awareness isn't enough. What we need is to take action against water corruption and power around the world, making water an asset everyone can access. This starts with us, as consumers.

Should people have equal access to water? The board game "Sharing© Water" is a speculative design that fundamentally challenges this question to bring critical evaluation into the water bottle industry, promoting consumer education. Inspired by Monopoly, players act as capitalists to monopolise the world's water and redistribute it, making profit in the process. Through their journey, they encounter real-life events, information and examples of water corruption, illustrating the current water justice situation in the world. Furthermore, the game emphasises the power of people through the Response and Opportunity cards. These cards give scenarios where people call out the player's injustice and they get sent to court, showing the impact consumers can bring.
