Maker in Residence Program

It is TLCJGF (The Lane Crawford Joyce Group Foundation) that allowed us to make the most progress on the Coral Reef Mapping robot by offering the summer program "Hong Kong Ocean Youth". During the summer, young people could choose 3 tracks: art, design, and science. They would collectively produce artworks to promote ocean awareness, the Coralbot design, and all the attached documents and interfaces, and the science team would work on the embedded and cloud systems to make the mapping, processing of data possible. The initial grant was supposed to be double the amount, but due to the protests in the city, followed by COVID19, the TLCJGF was not able to deliver on the 2nd payment. Yet, the MakerBay Foundation Team delivered the project entirely.
