Concept In an increasingly technological world where we are more merged with technology, the world becomes mass customised. Thus, our goal is to mesh the gap between technology and authenticity. This is where the Digital Integration of Visual Optics, or DIVO, comes in. DIVO is a personal AI friend that is customized for every individual, the aim of DIVO is to compliment your personality and daily lifestyle; DIVO is the friend that would know you better than you know yourself. AI will make most of your decisions for you, such as advising you on purchases, clothing choices, recommendations, diet, financial advice, etc.
Product 1) Earpiece DIVO consists of a fashionable wearable technology; an earpiece that is implemented through bone conduction and linked with a user through a chip and a small implant.
Devices such as Google Glass did not perform as expected due market adaptability and readiness. However, as technology becomes more fashionable, this will allow adaptability of bone conduction. Bone conduction is a method that relays sound waves through your skill rather than directly into your ear. Thus, even when users are talking with someone else, they can still have the earpiece on while talking with someone as this technology leaves your ears free to process ambient noise. Thus, this enables our goal of preserving a balance between technology and our real world. The eardrum converts sound waves to vibrations and then transmits it to the inner ear (cochlea). Bone conduction bypasses the eardrums, and performs the role of your eardrums. These devices decode sound waves and convert them into vibrations, in which the sound is reach to the ears through vibrations through the bones and skin.
Product 2) Contact Lenses (Interface) Alongside, colored contact lenses that display the interface. Instead of tangible devices, minimalism will be in trend, the internet will be connected to the implant and a screen projection only visible to you. Information will be displayed just in front of your eyes, floating in the air just for you. Similar to now how we can now choose who or what companies to follow and subscribe to in the content sphere. But now, we can subscribe to augmentations (like different versions of reality, society, ideologies). No more typing by hand, instead it will be all audio and visual focused, through your brain. Live translating speech in real time (neuro-engagenet).
This will be a non-invasive method with user privacy, through an internet chip that communicates with the program through the cloud. The main program will be centralized at home, where no government or corporations can have access too, so there will be no data breaches. Thus, this is a convenient option as since the program is not localised, the physical dimension of the chip can be smaller. Passwords will be outdated and a safer alternative would be the use of retinal scans or voiceprints for better user safety.
Social media in that era would be when users can record and live stream experiences, where users subscribed can share sensations through the nervous systems. This device is also linked to the future of social media, you can record and live stream experiences for people all over - be it Earth or Mars. Thus, you can watch videos and replay them into your nervous system. For instance, to relive your sensations, or someone else can watch your video to relive your experience.
Business & Accessibility As technology influences most areas in our life, one of the most prominent industries will incorporate this influence into their products as well, there will be changing customer expectations and possibilities that come with new technology. An example of this would be how artificial intelligence would be used to predict trends and accurately match sizes to consumers. The same manner in which we can customize our phone cases, we will be able to customise our earrings and implants the way we want to, to be trendy fashion accessories through the power of 3D printing. 3D printers will continue to become an increasing presence in our everyday lives. 80 years down the line, it will be as common to have a 3D printer as a phone, it will be considered a ‘status symbol’ similar to the culture cultivated through owning trendy technology nowadays.
With 3D printers, they undeniably make our lives much easier through the ability to print daily objects right in front of our eyes. Our design would be made available through all streams to our customers through open source software that they can tell our assistant (name here) to amend accordingly. Users have the freedom to amend the texture, color, finish, This way, as automation becomes more ingrained into our daily lives, if there are too many steps for a user to follow or learn, they will be less keen to adapt to the new piece of technology.
