Water Saving Shower

image

The problem I focused on for this product is water conservation. Nowadays, we do not realise what a precious resource water is, taking it for granted. One of the main contributing aspects of water loss is taking long showers. To tackle this, I built a water system for showers. I based this prototype on a four person family. Each family member’s name is marked on one tank. Ideally, the water in the tanks should be refilled every 2 days. In order to access the water, you can simply turn the red knob in front of your designated tank. Due to the transparency of the tank, it shows you that the water level is going down and will make you more cautious about controlling the amount of water you use. In the future when water is scarce and each household only has a short supply of water for showering, this product makes sure that the water is evenly distributed as everyone has their own tank. Being a limited resource, water will eventually run out, it is only a matter of delaying and preparing for it. I believe that this product will play a significant role in training and educating us to conserve water.
