Singapore Terrestrial Conservation Plan

Andie Ang and I are so incredibly excited to announce the publication and launch of the Singapore Terrestrial Conservation Plan (STCP)! This is the culmination of three years of collaboration, consultation and co-ordination with some incredible academics, stakeholders and subject matter experts in Singapore. I've personally learnt so much from this experience and it gives me so much joy to see it come to fruition.

The STCP seeks to consolidate civil society's aspirations for the conservation of terrestrial and freshwater biodiversity in Singapore. This book compiles the current state of knowledge for much of the biodiversity groups that can be found locally, summarises the threats that each of these groups and habitats face, and makes recommendations for their protection and study. This book is the combined effort of close to 40 contributors. Andie and I are so thankful to all the contributors for the hours spent synthesizing the chapters and for their excellent advice and input, as we put this book together.

The book is written to be as accessible as possible (although you may need to use Google once in a while!) and to that end, we will not be selling any copies of this book. Instead, we will be releasing the softcopy of the STCP FREE of charge on our website at sg-tc-plan.weebly.com.

We are hosting a Launch Event on 𝟐𝟖 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 (𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲), 𝟏𝟎.𝟑𝟎𝐀𝐌 - 𝟏𝟐𝐏𝐌 at the 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲. This will be an opportunity to learn more about Singapore's conservation scene and meet with the incredibly diverse terrestrial conservation community! We still have some vacancies for members of the public to register - https://tinyurl.com/stcp-launch. What are you waiting for! Come join us!
