When I moved to Hong Kong, I did not realize how expensive rent would be.
Quickly I decided to build my own factory and home in Kam Tin, New Territories, in the spot where a chicken farm used to be. I did everything from design, planning, budgeting, demolition of the old structure, to laying a reinforced concrete foundation, bringing in electricity, water sewage, structure welding, roofing, walls, insulations, roofing, furniture... The overall project was completed in 4 months in parallel with other work I had to do to earn a living. Huge thanks to the Ma family who welcome me as their own.
