Bobsy is a prominent figure within environmentalism and spirituality in Hong Kong, and is most famous for running the vegan restaurant chain MANA!, as well as leading a re-foresting project on Lamma Island which has planted 20’000 trees so far.
Bobsy grew up in Lebanon, studied in England, and lived the last three decades in Hong Kong. His work has always been about sustainability, and his first café - the Bookworm cafe on Lamma Island - already went completely plastic-free back in 1997. Bobsy is also working in environmental activism, filmmaking (Save the human! Don’t eat the planet! 2008), and meditation.
