Comments: I do find reading stories/experiences of those who had these mental disorders to be super personal and helpful. Sometimes, people are unwilling to tell their own stories and seek help. However, these kinds of personal stories would help them identify their need for help and even help them even if decide not to see any professionals. It’s also something we talked about in our project which is personal sharing.

Summary: In this article, Philips shares a personal story of his talking about how he got PTSD and how getting PTSD affected his life. He also stressed the importance of seeking help.

Comments: This article was very specific. It focused on how to respond to PTSD in a specific location which is the school. I feel like this is the kind of categories we might need for our project which would help those people that are browsing our web/app/Instagram page(format not decided yet) which part is relevant to their needs.

Summary: This report is more situation-based. It focused more on PTSD in school, suggesting how PTSD happen, possible ways for the school to work with PTSD.

Comments: It was a fun video to watch and at the same time, I feel like understanding the nature of these mental illnesses would potentially help our project in terms of providing better help to the ones that are in need.

Summary: This video clears the most common misunderstand of PTSD which is “PTSD is caused by those who experienced war”. However, it further explains the truth is PTSD is caused by traumas not war.

Comments: I like it how Amy shares her story of living and coping with depression. I actually also find several references on one's experiences in terms of anxiety. I feel like this is one of the most important part of what we discussed on our first group meeting on deciding the ideas we want to put into the project.

Summary: This article is about Amy sharing her personal story of how she got diagnosed of depression and how she overcome the barriers to living with depression.

Comments: After reading the article, I get to know ED a bit better now. The way this article not only giving the overall types, cause, symptoms and treatments of ED, but also giving further suggestions and links to where you could get more information on the topic of ED is really creative and helpful. I think this is also something we could do in our project.

Summary: This article talks about the general types, causes, symptoms and treatments of eating disorder. It also further gives several suggested articles related to ED.

Comments: This video is super personal. It takes us to a day of life from a schizophrenia patient’s perspective. It talks about things that I as someone who knows little about schizophrenia can’t even imagine that would happen to people. It is interesting to see sharing from such a perspective and I would say it definitely raised awareness in terms of this disease.

Summary: This video is a woman named Lauren sharing her experiences in terms of having schizophrenia. She talks about how these things affect her life and how she tried to use medication and other treatments to control them.

Comments: I like it how this website divides all these different relationships into different sections and providing insightful analysis on how mental health issues would affect these relationships specifically. It’s also an awesome idea how they put where to seek help at the bottom of each section so that if the person who is reading this website find themselves in the same situation, they would know where to seek help.

Summary: This website discusses how mental issues could affect one’s personal relationships and their family. They focus mainly on the relationship of couple, parent and child and family.
